Upload images

Drop PNG, JPG or JPEG files into the upload area or click to select them.

Choose settings

Select WebP or AVIF, choose a quality preset and add resizing if needed.

Conversion starts automatically

Files are queued, and each file status updates live in the table.

Download results

Download images individually or use Download all for the ZIP archive.

FAQ - frequently asked questions

Yes. Small, simple or already optimized PNG files can be more efficient. The result table distinguishes real savings from outputs that are similar or larger.

Yes. Keep transparency must be enabled and the source must contain real alpha pixels. Disabling the option creates an opaque output.

Yes. Add files in one or more rounds, follow the status of every image and use Download all after the active conversions finish. Invalid files are listed separately and do not prevent successful images from being downloaded.

No. CloudVertor uses temporary server storage for processing and downloads. Files expire automatically, and successfully processed originals can be removed earlier according to the active cleanup policy.

Convert PNG graphics and transparent images to AVIF with alpha preservation where supported by the source. This route is intended for assets where modern compression and smaller delivery files matter more than universal legacy compatibility.

Why this conversion is useful

AVIF can substantially reduce large RGBA images, screenshots and mixed photographic graphics. Results vary: simple palette graphics may remain more efficient as PNG, while detailed or oversized PNG files often provide more data for AVIF to optimize.

Recommended uses

Use this workflow for transparent product images, rich illustrations and large screenshots served to modern browsers. Retain PNG originals for editing and prepare fallbacks for destinations that cannot decode AVIF.

Choosing the optimization level

Recommended balances edge quality, gradients and output size. Maximum quality is safer for detailed UI captures and assets with fine transparent edges. Images as small as possible should be inspected for color shifts, banding and edge artifacts.

Transparency and metadata

AVIF supports alpha, and CloudVertor can keep transparent pixels when the toggle is enabled. Removing metadata strips EXIF, XMP and ICC data from the delivery file. Verify color-sensitive assets after profile removal.

Compatibility and limitations

Encoding is slower than WebP, support outside current browsers is less uniform and some graphics do not compress better than an optimized PNG. Very small outputs can also grow because container overhead becomes significant.

Bulk processing and privacy

Files are validated on the server, queued and processed asynchronously, so a conversion does not keep the upload request open. You can add images in several rounds and download successful results individually or together. Original and converted files are temporary and are removed according to the configured retention policy.
